KS2 SUN SAFETY ESCAPE ROOM CHALLENGE

Bring sun safety learning to life with our interactive KS2 Escape Room Challenge and classroom quiz, featuring Solar and the Sun Safe Squad.

This fully immersive online challenge requires no preparation and can be delivered in a variety of ways to suit your classroom — teacher-led on the interactive whiteboard for whole-class participation, or completed individually, in pairs or small groups using school devices.

The challenge begins on a sunny school day when the classroom door mysteriously locks at break time. To escape, pupils must discover the password — and the only way to unlock it is by completing six missions set by Solar and the five Sun Safe Squad members.

Each mission reinforces the benefits and dangers of the sun, and the Five S Golden Rules of Sun Safety, encouraging pupils to recap key learning from the Sun Safe Schools assembly while solving clues, answering questions and helping their classmates find the information needed to complete each task.

Fast-paced, character-led and highly engaging, the Escape Room Challenge encourages pupils to think critically, reflect on sun-safe behaviours and share advice with their peers. By the end of the challenge, the missions reveal the password — and pupils can finally unlock the classroom door.
