DELIVERING A WHOLE-SCHOOL APPROACH TO SUN SAFETY EDUCATION

The Sun Safe Schools programme has been embedding sun safety in primary schools since 2012. Through a structured accreditation framework, it supports curriculum-linked learning, policy development, staff engagement and community awareness—aligning prevention with education and safeguarding standards. Built on best practice and over a decade of experience, the programme promotes a whole-school approach to sun safety and skin cancer prevention, supporting thousands of schools and reaching more than one million children and families nationwide.
